It was definitely 4 stars for me: staff and rooms were very good.

Many things to mention - everything was reasonably clean, good food, delightful views. We had a large bedroom. Was a great base for weekend.

Enjoyed our quite comfortable stay for a weekend. Everything was great, pleasant staff, brilliant views at the sea.

The total experience was good, I would recommend. This hotel was characterful base for exploring Whitby, loved it. The staff were decent and efficient and the location was stunning next to the beach.

Fairly clean hotel in a really clean building close enough to Whitby and the seafront and the beach.

This hotel is overall clean and original, has great staff and location.

The reception was comfortable and tidy. Central location, at a short distance from a history museum. Besides, it was within walking distance of downtown, that worked for us.

I had a very nice stay at this accurate hotel. I had a healthy breakfast with awesome fruit, pastries and cheese. Rooftop bar and excellent pool. An ideal beach, magnificent view.

Overall clean & big venue, incredible views. They made my stay pleasant! A good choice of food for breakfast including fruit, pastries and cheese. Pool was lovely.

The stay was very pleasant, recommend. This hotel was fairly clean, had terrific location and staff. Splendid view, a large balcony, comfy bed, too. The early check-in process too. Need to be mentioned, it had free wifi throughout the property.

it deserves its 4 stars. we appreciated rooms and drinks, the venue organised everything for us. within short walking distance of the sandy beach. there was a nice bar on site. comfortable beds, perfect after a long day in whitby.

Comfortable base for exploring Whitby. When we came, the owner met us and was LOVELY. It was located near the beach. They had an English breakfast for us.
